Joint industry meeting with CN September 30

A meeting has been called for this coming Tuesday morning with CN's top management, to address terminal problems in the Toronto area.

Representatives include members of the Shipping Federation, the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA), CSCB and CAIE. Attendants will be discussing ways and means to improve the situation.

CIFFA has also tabled with Canadian Customs and Revenue (CCRA) the issue of container availability for inspection at the terminals and how the AMPS penalty can be avoided if the container is cleared but not available (delayed) for inspection...".
