CPR Customer Bulletin - September 21 , 2004

CPR's mainline between Taylor, Pa and Harrisburg, Pa is now reopen. The line had been closed as a result of actions by the State of Pennsylvania's Emergency Measures Agency (EMA) to control flooding and high water situations caused by heavy rainfall from the passing of Hurricane Ivan.

Our mainline had been closed as of 0600/18 EDST. The EMA had set up dikes to hold back rising waters. The EMA removed the dikes at approx 1300/20 and subsequent track inspections revealed our rail line had sustained minimal damage.

CPR declared line clear as of 1900/20 EDST.
