World Liner Supply reports for 4th quarter are now available

The following message is from the 8 October 2004 edition of “American Shipper”.

The Oct. 1 World Liner Supply ship capacity reports of ComPairData, the global liner shipping database, were published Thursday, providing an analytical assessment of total capacity supply in the transpacific, Asia-Europe and transatlantic liner trades….

The latest reports show an increase of six percent in capacity in the eastbound Pacific trade in the past quarter (or 11 percent over a year). They also document a reduction of one percent in transatlantic capacity from North Europe over the previous quarter, among other findings.

The World Liner Supply also highlight the alliances and carriers that have been the most aggressive in adding ship capacity in the Pacific and Asia-Europe trades, findings that could help shippers and intermediaries find available capacity in the current tight market….
