Canada rotates U.S. ambassador

… Prime Minister Paul Martin appointed Frank McKenna, a lawyer and former premier of New Brunswick … as ambassador to the United States. He succeeds Michael Kergin.

Canada and the United States are the world’s largest trading partners. Border security, commerce and trade disputes are hot topics likely to consume much of his time.
