CPR Empty Marine Container Repositioning Orders - Changes to Canadian Terminal Transactions

The following message is from the Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Intermodal at CPR.

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve CPR's Intermodal Operations to better serve you, we will be centralizing the receipt of empty marine container repositioning orders for Import/Export traffic for our Canadian Intermodal Terminals.

Commencing on Monday, March 21st, 2005, the orders to reposition empty marine containers will be received and processed by the CPR Intermodal Asset Management Group.

There will be no changes to transactions for Import/Export traffic for CPR U.S. Intermodal Terminals.

Customer service related calls should continue to be directed to the CPR Customer Service Desk at 1-888-333-8111 or you can continue to utilize our on-line Trace-ETA application at www.mycpr.ca.

Effective at 0800 AM Eastern Time on Monday March 21st, 2005, the following changes will be implemented for all CPR Canadian Intermodal Terminals:

Empty Marine Container Repositioning Orders

All requests for empty marine container moves from a Canadian Intermodal terminal will be processed through a central email address:

To ensure timely processing, the following email protocols must be followed:

Subject Line:

· Origin CPR Terminal Name only (do NOT include destination terminal), select one terminal from the following list:

o Lachine
o Vaughan
o Obico
o Winnipeg (includes Thunder Bay, Dryden, and Winnipeg)
o Regina
o Saskatoon
o Calgary
o Edmonton
o Vancouver

· Shipping Line Name

Body of the Message:

· Specific # of marine containers by container size (or specific unit #) by destination terminal
· Free versus revenue repositioning requested, subject to CPR review of contract terms
· Release Number / Booking Reference Number Separate Email Message for each Origin Terminal:
· Single origin terminal to one or more destination terminals
· Do NOT combine multiple orders for more than 1 origin terminal in a single email message

The hours of operation for processing requests for empty marine container repositioning for Canadian CPR Intermodal Terminals are:

- 0800 - 1600 Eastern Time, Monday to Friday
- Closed Saturday and Sunday
