Introducing Export Reservations – CN Vancouver

The following message is from CN. The CN Export Reservations Checklist is available on the CSCB web site at http://www.cscb.ca/listinfo/cnvancouverapril2005.pdf.

Effective Monday 2 May 2005 all export traffic delivered to CN at Vancouver Intermodal terminal must have a reservation, and the traffic must be delivered to the terminal within the effective time of the reservation. The reservation process is attached on the reverse. It is important to review the attached process [at the address given above].

On Thursday 28 April CN will host a general session to review the reservations process and address any questions. The session will be held from 19:00 – 21:00 at the Sheraton Guilford, 15269-104th Avenue, Surrey in the Green Timbers #1 meeting room on the the 2nd level. This session will be of interest to all trucking companies delivering export containers to CN Vancouver, and any other parties that may be making export reservations. Please confirm your attendance by email to [email protected].

The current reservations process for import traffic shipped via CN’s Vancouver Intermodal Terminal and reefers moving in genset service will not change. This new process is for export traffic (ie loads or empties destined to the Port of Halifax or the Port of Montreal).

Requests for reservations for the week of Monday 2 May will be accepted beginning as of Thursday 28 April 2005. Should you require additional clarification, please write to [email protected] or call 1-866-851-7837. The reservations staff will be available Monday - Friday from 06:00 - 17:00 Pacific Time and from 07:00 - 11:00 Pacific Time on Saturday and Sunday.
