Environment Canada Requirements

The CBSA has confirmed that the requirements of the Off-Road Small Spark-Ignition and Compression-Ignition Engine Regulations do not allow for the release of these goods to be done electronically.

CBSA have also indicated that they have made a presentation on the CSA/FAST program to the Environment Canada section dealing with Off-Road Small Spark-Ignition and Compression-Ignition Engines and that Environment Canada has given approval to one company to participate in this program. At this time, CSA/FAST is the only electronic release option for these goods, providing that the department, agency or other organization gives the importer the clearance to participate.

If members are interested in using the CSA/FAST program in order to obtain electronic release of these goods, please advise the CSCB and we will put you in touch with the appropriate party at Environment Canada.
