CPR Customer Bulletin: Hurricane Katrina - Rail Embargoes

The following bulletin is from CPR’s Assistant Vice President, Customer Services.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, numerous rail destinations in Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi have been embargoed by various delivering rail carriers. We would recommend that you consult with your delivering carrier prior to loading or billing shipments to these destinations. Waybills to embargoed destinations will be refused at origin. Shipments already enroute to embargoed destinations will also be impacted. We will advise of any further pertinent information as we receive it.
