Errors in Tariff Codes in Customs Commercial System

The Electronic Commerce Unit reports that the problems with errors in tariff codes in ACROSS currently experienced by members should be resolved by noon today EST (4 January). The new codes were not activated in ACROSS, and a program is being run now to solve that problem.

The ECU has sent a message to Customs officers via ACROSS, instructing them to accept paper releases until CADEX is restored.
