Procedures for Connectivity Problems

The following is a message to all Electronic Commerce clients.

The purpose of this message is to remind clients of the procedures to follow when faced with connectivity problems with CBSA.  It has come to our attention that certain clients contact our National Help Desk directly when faced with connectivity issues.  We would like to remind clients that the Electronic Commerce Unit (ECU) should be your first point of contact in these situations in order to properly initiate the resolution efforts and monitor the progress.

Therefore, we encourage you to take note of ECU's telephone number (888-957-7224) for any questions relating to connectivity/transmission problems, status/reject on a transaction, as well as general information relating to CBSA's various commercial importation applications.  Please inform your personnel of this telephone number and the procedures to follow.
