Severe Weather Challenges CPR’s Western Transportation Network
The following message is from CP Rail.
Warm temperatures and heavy rain have triggered high water conditions resulting in earth slides, snow slides and washouts in the transportation corridor between Field BC and Vancouver BC. Our line between Golden and Revelstoke has also been affected by a derailment caused by an avalanche last night. Highways in the region have also been impacted.
Crews are working to restore service, however shipment delays should be expected.
