Procedure Changes for Original Meat and Phytosanitary Certificates For CBSA Windsor Bridge Pilot Project

 

            The CFIA has issued an updated communiqué regarding changes in procedure for original meat and phytosanitary certificates for the Windsor Bridge Pilot Project.  The text of the communiqué follows:

 

 

In support of the CBSA requirement for mandatory line release at Windsor Bridge effective April 1, 2007, CFIA has modified the current process for handling original meat and phytosanitary certificates.

 

Due to their unique nature and regulations, each certificate has its own process.  These processes are:

 

1. Official Meat Inspection Certificates at the Windsor Bridge location only, currently being collected by the Brokers FOR SKIP LOTS, will now be forwarded to the CFI
