CBSA Mesage (TCC17- 147): CCS / CADEX Scheduled Maintenance Outage

For maintenance purposes, the CCS/CADEX system will be unavailable on Saturday July 15, 2017 from 05:00 to 05:30 (ET) AND Sunday July 16, 2017 from 05:00 to 05:30 (ET).

CADEX, Customs Declaration Message (CUSDEC) B3s and AO notification of release queries transmitted to the CADEX system will be affected by this outage.

We will update this message if the outage extends past the end date/time. We regret the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

Action Required:

Please be prepared to resume transmission once the system is available.

CBSA Message (TCC17-146) EDI Scheduled Maintenance Outage

July 13, 2017

For maintenance purposes, all EDI applications will be unavailable on Sunday July 16, 2017 from 04:30 to 06:15 (ET) AND from 08:00 to 09:30 (ET). This includes: all incoming data or outbound messages such as acknowledgements, reject messages and notices, e.g. RNS, Completeness Notices during this time.

We will update this message if the outage extends past the end date/time. We regret the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

CBSA Message (TCC17-008 – RESOLVED) - Overdue Release report is not being generated

Please be advised that there was a delay in processing the June 25th Statement of Account. They have now all been processed and are currently being transmitted

CBSA Message (TCC17-140) - Quebec Civic Holiday, June 24

Clients Affected: All clients and service providers who transmit trade data using EDI.

The following is information concerning this year's civic holiday in Quebec on Saturday, June 24, 2017.  All clients, will receive Daily Notices (DNs) on Saturday, June 24 and Tuesday, June 27.  The Statement of Account (SOA) will be sent on the morning of June 25th.  There will be no change to the DN or SOA dates as a result of this holiday.

Electronic Housebill Client Support

As you are aware, regulatory amendments published in the Canada Gazette, Part II, made eManifest requirements legally binding and a voluntary compliance period is in effect for freight forwarders to transmit advance electronic house bill (ehouse bill) data on consolidated freight.

I am pleased to advise that the CBSA is now offering an ehouse bill client support service to assist freight forwarders and facilitate their shipments into Canada.
