CBSA Message (TCC17-135) – EDI Scheduled Maintenance Outage, 11 June

June 8, 2017

Clients Affected: All clients and service providers who transmit trade data using EDI. 

For maintenance purposes, all Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) applications will be unavailable on Sunday June 11, 2017 from 04:30 to 06:00 (ET) AND from 07:00 to 08:30 (ET). This includes: all incoming data or outbound messages such as acknowledgements, reject messages and notices, e.g. RNS, Completeness Notices during this time. 

CBSA Message (TCC17-134) – CCS / CADEX Scheduled Maintenance Outage, 10-11 June

Clients Affected: All importers and brokers who submit their B3s and AO notification of release queries using the CCS/CADEX system

For maintenance purposes, the CCS/CADEX system will be unavailable on Saturday June 10, 2017 from 05:00 to 05:30 (ET) AND Sunday June 11, 2017 from 05:00 to 05:30 (ET).

CADEX, Customs Declaration Message (CUSDEC) B3s and AO notification of release queries transmitted to the CADEX system will be affected by this outage.

CBSA Message (TCC17-132) - CBSA System Outage Contingency Plan

In response to the recent outages, CBSA has reissued its outage contingency plans.  The CSCB continues to pursue not just a review of these plans but also an understanding and resolution of the root causes of the outages that continue to occur.

Clients Affected: All clients and service providers who transmit trade data using EDI and Portal. 

CBSA would like to remind all trade chain partners that the CBSA System Outage Contingency Plan is available online. 

CBSA Message (TCC17-130) - Delays in Processing ALL EDI and Portal Messages

Clients Affected:  All clients and service providers who transmit trade data using EDI and Portal. 

Please note that CBSA is receiving and processing EDI and Portal inbound data. However, there is a delay in sending outbound messages such as acknowledgements, reject messages and notices E.g. RNS, Completeness Notices through EDI and Portal. 

CBSA Message (TCC17-128) -Standard Subject Lines for Emails to CARM Mailbox

ARL Bulletin 35 provides standardized subject lines for emails to the CARM mailbox. Use of these subject lines will support the ARL support team in their management of incoming requests.  The subject lines provided include one for Importer Account Balance Overview Reports.  Please see ARL Bulletin 31 for details on who can and how to apply for such reports.
