At yesterday’s ARL Working Group meeting, a few important announcements were made.

A. Here is the list of the ARL Payment Processing and ARL Lite Sites.

B. And here are the ARL functionalities associated with those sites

ARL Payment Processing Sites (APPS):

  1. Payment information will be keyed into ARL
  2. Clients with account security can 
    a. request printed statements – DN and SOA
    b. make account inquiries
  3. Clients without account security can request account balances

ARL Lite Sites

  1. Payment information will be sent to APPS for keying into ARL (receipt still issued to client on site)
  2. Clients with account security can
    a. request printed statements – DN and SOA
    b. make account inquiries
  3. Clients without account security can request account balances

Other CBSA offices

  1. Payment information will be sent to an APPS for keying into ARL (receipt still issued to client on site)

C. Production of the daily and monthly K84s will continue only for the first month of ARL operation. The official statement of amounts owing will be the SOA produced from the ARL system.

D. CBSA currently has capacity to handle more ARL applications and certifications than they have on hand. Members are encouraged not to delay the filing of their application as a last minute spike in demand could mean that CBSA might not be able to approve your application on a timely basis.
