Chapter 23 was published to:
 
i) change the release recommendation from "Refer to CFIA-NISC" to "Refuse entry" for the following HS codes originating from Europe.
 
23.09.10.1574 - Raw diets (Bones and Raw Food), frozen or refrigerated
23.09.90.1573 - Raw diets (Bones and Raw Food), frozen or refrigerated
 
This created a requirement version change for the same HS codes listed above originating from Africa, Antarctica, Asia, North America (excluding USA), Oceania and South America.
 
ii) Streamline the import requirements for the following HS codes originating from Europe.
 
23.09.10.1565 - Dog or cat food, commercially cooked, canned
23.09.10.1566 - Dog or cat food, pet treats, compound pet chews, jerky, bulk and in final packaging other than commercially cooked canned pet food
23.09.90.1565 - Dog and cat food, commercially cooked, canned
23.09.90.1566 - Dog or cat food, pet treats, compound pet chews, jerky, bulk and in final packaging other than commercially cooked canned pet food
23.09.90.1570 - Pet bird food, bulk or in final packaging
23.09.90.6208 - Pet fish food
23.09.90.6209 - Food for small pet animals other than dogs, cats birds and fish
