In today’s volatile trade environment, it’s more important than ever for customs brokers to remain vigilant about risks and liabilities they may attract while acting on behalf of importers. A General Agency Agreement (GAA) and its associated Standard Trading Conditions (STC) remain essential tools to establish the legal, transparent arrangement between an importer and the customs broker who acts on their behalf.
