Letter to Ministers - BN Support Desk Closure

The CSCB wrote to the Ministers of Public Safety, National Revenue, and the Treasury Board to express our concerns with the abrupt and disruptive impacts of changes to importer/exporter business number (BN) account registration and maintenance on May 13, 2024.

Our submission was informed by the input provided by you, our members, over the past week. We deeply appreciate your commitment to making us aware of your concerns so that we can continue to advocate on behalf of you and your clients. We will continue to share any updates we receive on this topic, including any responses received from the ministers’ offices.
