2013 CSCB National Conference – Borders Divide, Customs Experts Connect

Registration is now open for the 2013 CSCB National Conference in Banff, Alberta! If you are planning to attend the CSCB national annual conference from October 6 – 8, 2013, please note that the program will be starting at noon on Sunday, October 6. It will be finished mid-afternoon on Tuesday, October 8.

Conference Program Highlights

On Monday morning, October 7, a special CTCS breakfast covering “Free Trade Agreements, Origin & Traceability: Identifying Opportunities & Managing Complications"

On Monday evening, October 7, dinner will be an Iron Chef themed event. The room will be transformed into “Kitchen Stadium”, with stations set up for teams to cook their own dinner. Rimrock Sous-Chefs will be on-site to offer assistance and guidance during this fun-filled event.

Companions' Activity

On the morning of Monday, October 7, companions are invited to join us on the Discover Banff & Its Wildlife Tour. Build a connection to Banff’s World Heritage Site on their trademark sightseeing tour as you visit Banff's landmarks and historic places. Hear how the 11,000 year old human history of the Bow Valley changed when three railway workers rediscovered a hidden natural hotspring.  Visit the abandoned mining town of Bankhead, a relic of Banff's industrial past.  All the while learn about wildlife behaviour, habitat, and their winter survival adaptations as you tour around the area.

We also strongly encourage you to make your hotel reservations at the Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff, Alberta as soon as possible. Don’t delay because space is limited and it looks like our roomblock could be filled well in advance of our conference. Book now to avoid disappointment. You can make your hotel reservations by calling 1-888-746-7625 (1-888-RIMROCK), and specifying that you are calling to book a room from the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers room block.

Room rates are as follows:

Standard 2 Queen - $178.00 + taxes
Standard King - $193.00 + taxes

Please note that service charges have already been included in room rates.

Triple and quadruple accommodation is available at an additional cost of $25.00 per person, per day. The Rimrock Resort Hotel allows a maximum of 4 adults per guest room.
