6 things you’ll miss if you don’t attend the Forum!

Accessing Ottawa: A Forum for Customs Brokers and their Clients is only 15 days away. Here’s what you’ll miss if you don’t attend.

  1. John Ossowski, President of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), will kick off the Forum with CBSA’s plans for commercial trade including challenges and opportunities ahead.
  2. CBSA’s Commercial Programs leadership team will discuss the hot topic of e-Commerce.
  3. Two panels of speakers from CFIA, Global Affairs, Health Canada, Transport Canada, and NRCan will talk to us about their requirements, and how they expect you to meet them.
  4. Peter Kirby of Fasken LLP and Gary Rourke of Trade Negotiations at CBSA will bring you the latest news regarding Canada’s trade agreements and their implementation.
  5. Lisa Janes of CBSA Border Operations will shed some light on examinations, seizures and other uncertainties that await goods upon arrival at the border.
  6. Marc Séguin of CBSA’s ARL team will elaborate on the new ARL requirements for payment of duties and taxes and their implications.

Bring your client to Ottawa for the shared experience of engaging with CBSA and OGD decision makers, demonstrating the powerful partnership that customs brokers have with their clients, and re-enforcing the value you offer to both the government and importers!
