All traffic coming off the Ambassador Bridge into Windsor will be directed on to Wyandotte Street West starting on Friday night to allow for road repairs on southbound Huron Church Road near the bridge.
Lane restrictions will begin Thursday at 9 p.m. on a stretch of Huron Church between Wyandotte and College Avenue, according to city of Windsor officials.
Full closure will start on Friday at 9 p.m. and last until late Sunday afternoon to allow for road repairs and Essex Terminal Railway track repairs in the area.
Detour signs will be in place to direct traffic. The primary detour route for vehicles and trucks will be to travel down eastbound Wyandotte to southbound Crawford Avenue, to westbound Tecumseh Road and back to Huron Church.
Repairs of the northbound lanes leading into the bridge in the same area on Huron Church have been scheduled for next weekend (Oct. 3-5), but road closures and detour plans have not yet been finalized by city officials.
