A member has advised that Highway 75 has closed due to inclement weather.
The CBSA has advised the following:
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ALLOWANCE FOR COMMERCIAL TRAFFIC THROUGH NON-DESIGNATED PORTS OF ENTRY
Please be advised that due to potential delays and/or closure of Highway 75, the CBSA is temporarily allowing commercial vehicles to cross and clear their commercial goods through Gretna, Tolstoi, and Winkler ports of entry starting February 10 2022 and onward*.
Hours of operation at these ports will be:
- Winkler: 0800-1800hrs
- Gretna: 0800-2200hrs
- Tolstoi: 0800-2200hrs
For SWI importations, the system should process these normally, and release should be reflected when the shipment is cleared at the alternate FPOE. For ACI e-manifest information, leave both conveyance and cargo data as crossing through Emerson (502).
For importations requiring an RMD package, we will be following CBSA Contingency Plans in that the driver will be released upon presentation of a 14-digit transaction number. The actual keying of the RMD packages will begin on the following business day. Please either drop off the RMD packages at Emerson-502 or the RMD package may be e-mailed to [email protected] and processed via e-longroom.
During the time that the Contingency Plan is in operation, ERP authorizations will NOT be a requirement.
