Canada and the United Kingdom reach arrangement for trade of organic food / Le Canada et le Royaume-Uni concluent un accord sur le commerce des aliments biologiques

Canada and the United Kingdom (UK) have reached an arrangement for trade of organic food. The United Kingdom – Canada Organic Equivalence Arrangement came into effect January 1, 2021.

The arrangement allows organic products certified under the Canada Organic Regime or the UK organic system to be sold and labelled as organic in Canada and the UK.

Le Canada et le Royaume-Uni (R.-U.) ont conclu un accord sur le commerce des aliments biologiques. L'accord d'équivalence des produits biologiques entre le Royaume-Uni et le Canada est entré en vigueur le 1er janvier 2021.

L'accord fait en sorte que les produits biologiques certifiés en vertu du Régime Bio-Canada ou du système biologique du R.-U. pourront être vendus et étiquetés comme des produits biologiques au Canada et au Royaume-Uni.
