Canada Consumer Product Safety Act - Guidelines on mandatory reporting of incident

The following message is from Health Canada.

In June 2011 Health Canada released the Guidance on Mandatory Incident Reporting under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act - Section 14 Duties in the Event of an Incident.  Since this time Health Canada has continued to receive feedback on these reporting requirements and has witnessed how industry is using and applying Section 14 under the CCPSA.  Based on this information, Health Canada will be updating the guidance to provide further clarify and specificity on Section 14 reporting requirements under the Act. In this regard, Health Canada is launching a consultation on the proposed changes and is seeking stakeholder feedback and comments.   

A draft of the revised guidance is attached for your information and review. You are invited to submit any feedback on this draft to [email protected] by April 30, 2013.
