Although there are "obvious opportunities," Canada has yet to act on China's call to pen a free-trade deal within a decade, Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird said.
"Canada is a trading nation," he said during an interview on the Global News program The West Block, stressing no decision has been made. "We look at the economic slowdown we've seen in the United States, that we've seen in other western advanced economies. Our future really rests in the Asia-Pacific region."
