CBSA Message: Customs Notice CN12-026

The following message is from CBSA (EDI12-076).

Further to Customs Notice CN12-026 found on the CBSA Web site at the following address: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/cn-ad/cn12-026-eng.html please be advised that the classification and tariff code files will be available the week of October 1, 2012. Given that this will be a large update, the classification and tariff code flags have been turned off until this update has been done. Please note there is a new Tariff Treatment being added to most classification numbers, and as such, the update will be larger than the year end files. Due to the size of the files, they will not be downloaded into your system. You will be able to access the files in CADEX format on the Internet at the site mentioned above.

Should you have any questions regarding the CADEX formatted records, please contact the Electronic Commerce Unit at 888-957-7224, option 1.
