CBSA Message (EDI14-040) - Amendments to the Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff

Further to the CSCB’s message of June 13th, the CBSA has now advised of changes to the 2014 tariff. CBSA’s notice follows; please note that the Customs Notice referred to in this message was included in a draft format in the June 13th CSCB message. The CSCB is following up with CBSA to determine how changes were made to the tariff without any notice provided to users.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) wishes to advise of an amendment to the May 5, 2014 version of the Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff.

The changes are reflected in the Customs Commercial System (CCS) today, Friday, June 13, 2014 and will be available in your systems the following day. The CBSA web site has been amended accordingly at http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/trade-commerce/tariff-tarif/2014/menu-eng.html

The Customs Notice will be posted when it becomes available on the CBSA Web site at http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/cn-ad/menu-eng.html which will provide a complete listing of the tariff items, effective dates and type of amendments.
