CBSA Message: Penalty Waivers for September 12, 2013

The following is a CBSA message (EDI13-062)

CBSA EDI messaging issues, as posted in bulletin EDI13-058 on September 12, 2013, may have impacted clients’ ability to account for shipments within the required time frames. Late accounting penalties resulting from this issue for transactions due September 12, 2013 and accounted for September 13, 2013 will be waived without the client having to submit a waiver application. Please note that this pro-active waiver will exclude transactions that were already overdue prior to September 12, 2013. For penalties issued outside of the parameters noted above, an application for waiver should be sent to the Recourse Directorate at fax # 613-960-5112.
