CBSA Message: Slow Processing; CADEX Records Issue Message

The following message is from CBSA (EDI13-026).

CBSA EDI messaging issues and the resultant backlog of outbound messages March 24, 2013 to March 27, 2013 may have impacted clients’ ability to account for shipments within the required time frames. Late accounting penalties resulting from this issue for transactions with accounting dates of March 26, 2013 to April 2, 2013 inclusive will be waived without the client having to submit a waiver application. Please note that this pro-active waiver will exclude transactions that were already overdue prior to March 24, 2013. For penalties issued outside of the parameters noted above, an application for waiver should be sent to the Recourse Directorate at fax # 613-960-5112. These applications should be sent by April 17, 2013.
