CBSA experienced a system issue on November 12, 2014 that prevented the processing of some of the B3’s we received prior to 8:00 pm, to be held and not processed. As a result some of these B3’s may be in jeopardy of receiving a penalty. As part of the outage contingency plan, we are extending the time for accounting by one day pursuant to subsection 33.7 (1) of the Customs Act; entries due on November 12, 2014 would now be due on November 13, 2014 to ensure that the entries received prior to batch processing will not be assessed a penalty. The accounting time frame of 5 days will be back in place tomorrow, November 14, 2014.
