CBSA Message (TCC17-245) - Holidays Schedule

Clients Affected: All clients and service providers who transmit trade data using EDI.

The Technical Commercial Client Unit (TCCU) office will be closed on Monday, December 25, 2017, Tuesday, December 26, 2017 and Monday, January 1, 2018, however, the CBSA external client support will be operating on an “after hours” schedule during this time.

For accounting purposes:

December 25th , 2017 Statement of Account (SOA)

  • The December SOA will be transmitted on the 25th of December. The payment due date for the December 25th SOA is January 2rd, 2018 for all provinces with the exception of Quebec where the payment due date is January 3rd, 2018 for clients that pay at the bank.

December (23rd -31st) 2017 and January (1st-4th) 2018 Daily Notices (DN)

  • A DN will be transmitted on the 23rd of December, which will contain B3 entries processed and accepted on the 22nd of December.
  • A DN will be transmitted on the 28th of December, which will contain B3 entries processed and accepted on the 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th of December.
  • December 29th is a regular business day and the DN will be sent as usual.
  • A DN will be transmitted on Wednesday January 3rd, 2018 which will contain B3 entries processed and accepted December 30th - January 3rd.

Monday, December 25th 2017, Tuesday, December 26th 2017 and Monday, January 1st 2018 will not be counted in the calculation of overdue B3 entries.
