CBSA Message (TCC18-025) - Reminder: TCCU Web pages

Clients Affected: All clients who transmit data electronically

The Technical Commercial Client Unit (TCCU) would like to encourage clients to continue visiting the new and improved TCCU web pages: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/eservices/menu-eng.html

Since the update last September, the TCCU web pages provide clients with an intuitive and fresher look while allowing for user-friendly navigation to help clients find information about EDI and Portal faster and more easily.

Some of the new or improved features include:

  • A “Services document”, describing:
    • the services provided during business hours and those provided after business hours, on an emergency basis;
    • for each service listed, the preferred method for contacting the TCCU, whether email or telephone, and
    • frequently requested services that are delivered by other areas (their contact information is provided).
  • More current and relevant Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
  • An automated sign up form for EDI/Portal bulletins
  • Application Forms
  • Outage contingency plans
  • The error codes list and other key documents that may help troubleshoot system errors
  • The steps a client should perform before contacting the TCCU.

By taking advantage of the above resources, clients may save themselves time and money, by not waiting on hold to speak to an agent when the information they are seeking may be just a click away.
