CBSA Message (TCC18-168) – Updates to the Single Window Initiative Integrated Import Declaration (IID) Electronic Commerce Client Requirements Document (ECCRD), Version 4.0

The purpose of this notice is to advise the trading community that the following changes will take place on December 13, 2018.

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) Explosives – Requirements Update
A problem has been discovered with the transmission of special characters utilized for the Authorized Product Name and Person Who Obtained Product Authorization data fields and as a result, clients are receiving unnecessary IID rejects.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and NRCan have consulted and agreed to amend the mandatory data requirements for the Explosives Program to resolve this issue. Details of these changes are listed as follows:
