Certain Aluminum Extrusions, Statement of Reasons

Concerning an expiry review determination under paragraph 76.03(7)(a) of the Special Import Measures Act regarding the dumping and subsidizing of certain aluminum extrusions from China.

Decision

On August 2, 2019, pursuant to paragraph 76.03(7)(a) of the Special Import Measures Act, the Canada Border Services Agency determined that the expiry of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s order made on March 17, 2014, in Inquiry No. RR-2013-003:

  • is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of certain aluminum extrusions originating in or exported from China; and
  • is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of subsidizing of certain aluminum extrusions originating in or exported from China.
