CFIA-AIRS Updates, 12 October

Chapter 07 was published to remove the miscellaneous codes; “With soil or related matter (including growing media not approved under the CGMP)” and “ Without soil” from the following HS codes.

07.09.70.3031.02 – Basela spp. (leaves, fresh or chilled)
07.09.99.3030.00 – Amaranthus spp. (leaves, fresh or chilled)
07.09.99.3031.00 – Ipomoea spp. (leaves, fresh or chilled)

This created a requirement version change for the following HS codes.

07.05.11.3027.03 - Iceberg lettuce, whole.
07.05.19 - Lettuce: Other. 
07.05.21 - Chicory: Witloof 
07.06.10.3018 - Baby carrots (fresh or chilled). 
07.06.10.3019 - Turnips (fresh or chilled). 
07.06.90.3021 - Horseradish (fresh or chilled). 
07.06.90.3024 - Radish (fresh or chilled). 
07.06.90.3026 - Celery root, celeriac (fresh or chilled). 
07.06.90.3027 - Edible flower bulbs (fresh or chilled).
07.09.70 - Spinach, New Zealand spinach and orache spinach (garden spinach). 
07.09.99.3034 - Herbs - with or without roots (fresh or chilled). 
07.09.99.3039.01 - Jicama (fresh). 
07.14.10.3044 - Manioc (cassava) (fresh or chilled). 
07.14.20.3043 - Sweet potato (fresh or chilled). 
07.14.30.0001 - Yam (tuber) (fresh or chilled). 
07.14.40.0001 - Taro (root) - fresh or chilled. 
07.14.50 - Yautia 
07.14.90.0006.03 - Waterchestnut (root) (fresh or chilled). 
07.14.90.0006.04 - Kava (root) (fresh or chilled). 
07.14.90.0006.99 - Other.
