CFIA AIRS Updates, 18 September

 

A) Chapter 01 was published to remove a registration type to the following HS codes with the end uses; “In-transit through Canada” and “Travellers & Personal use and not for resale or distribution” originating from the United States. NO VERSION CHANGE.

01.06.32.2088 - Psittacines over 3 days old.
01.06.32.2089 - Psittacines less than 3 days old.
01.06.39.2096 - Songbirds over 3 days old (Passerines of the sub-order passerii (oscines)).
01.06.39.2097 - Songbirds less than 3 days old (Passerines of the sub-order passerii (oscines)).

B) Chapter 04 was published to remove the following OGD extension. 

04.10.00.1187.08 - Bee pollen

C) Chapter 7 was published to change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA-NISC” to “Approved”  and modify the import conditions for the following HS codes with the end uses; “human consumption”, “other end use”, “sample for testing”, “travellers & personal use and not for resale or distribution”, “educational use”, “industrial use (i.e. not commercial use)” and “scientific use” originating from the state of California.  

07.08.90.3033 - Other leguminous vegetables (fresh or chilled).
07.09.99.3043 - Okra (fresh or chilled). 
07.09.99.9999 - Other vegetables, other than edible roots (fresh or chilled).

This created a requirement version change for the following HS codes.

07.04.10.3008 - Cauliflower (fresh or chilled)
07.04.20.0000 - Brussels sprouts
07.04.90.3011.01 - Cabbage - whole (fresh or chilled)
07.04.90.3016.01 - Kale - whole (fresh or chilled)
07.07.00.3001.01 – Cucumbers, field (fresh or chilled)
07.07.00.3001.02 - Cucumbers, greenhouse (fresh or chilled)
07.09.20.0000 - Asparagus

D)  Chapter 14 was published to add the following OGD extension.

14.04.90.4086 - Bee pollen

E) Chapter 25 was published to add the following OGD extensions.

25.30.90.0234 - Growing media containing soil, soil-related matter or pests  
25.30.90.0235 - Soil-free growing media containing more than one plant based component 

This created a requirement version change for the following HS codes.

25.05.90.1001 - Sand
25.30.90.0225 - Sand
