CFIA-AIRS Updates, 2 July

A) Chapter 07 was published to:

i) remove a registration type for the following HS codes with the end uses “Human Consumption” and “Further Processing”.

07.09.51.3028.01 - Wild mushroom. 
07.09.51.3028.10 - Wild mushroom - Organic. 
07.09.59.3024.02 - Wild Truffles. 
07.09.59.3024.12 - Wild Truffles - Organic.
07.09.59.3025.02 - Wild mushroom.  
07.09.59.3027.02 - Wild mushroom - Organic.

This created a requirement version change for the following HS codes.

07.09.59.3024.01 - Cultivated Truffles.
07.09.59.3024.11 - Cultivated Truffles - Organic. 

ii) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA-NISC” to “Approved” for the following HS codes with the end uses “Human consumption” and “Other end uses” originating from the state of California.

07.04.90.3016.01 – Kale – whole (fresh or chilled)
07.04.90.3016.11 - Kale - whole (fresh or chilled) - Organic.

B) Chapter 08 was published to:

i) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA-NISC” to “Approved” for the following HS codes with the end uses “Human consumption”, “Further processing”, “Repacking”, “Samples for testing” and “Travellers and Personal use and not for resale or distribution” originating from the state of California destined to all provinces except British Columbia.

08.08.30.4003.01 - Asian pears (other than Ya pears), Sand pear, Twentieth century pears, Chinese pears, Japanese pears, Nashi pears, Oriental pears, Korean pears, Golden pears and Shingo pears (fresh). 
08.08.30.4003.02 - Ya pears, Duck pears, Yali pears  (fresh). 
08.08.30.4003.12 - Fragrant pears (fresh).
08.08.30.4003.15 - Common pears (fresh). (Pyrus communis)
08.08.30.4003.99 - Other pear species (fresh)

AIRS was published to modify the Licence Permit Certificate or Other (LPCO) from “Materialized” to “De-materialized” for the following Registration Type. NO VERSION CHANGE.
