CFIA-AIRS Updates, 28 September

 

A) Chapter 01 was published to modify the import conditions for the following HS code with the end use “Travellers & Personal use and not for resale or distribution” originating from all countries.  NO VERSION CHANGE.

01.06.14 -  Rabbits and hares.

B) Chapter 06 was published to:

i) change the release recommendation from “Refuse entry” to “Refer to CFIA – NISC” for the following HS codes with the miscellaneous code “Without soil, related matter or growing media” originating from Puerto Rico.

06.02.10.0022.85 - Hibiscus - Unrooted plants (Hibiscus spp.).
06.02.92.0031.99 - Hibiscus - Rooted plants (Hibiscus spp.).

This created a requirement version change for the same HS codes from all countries except France, Netherlands, Vietnam and the continental United States.

ii) add the miscellaneous code “With growing media that is free of soil and related matter (CGMP)” to the following HS code originating from Puerto Rico.

06.02.92.0031.99 - Hibiscus - Rooted plants (Hibiscus spp.).
