CFIA-AIRS Updates, 8 March

A) Chapter 06 was published to modify the import conditions for the following HS codes originating from the states of Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Texas destined to all provinces except New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

06.02.20.0021.13 – Vaccinium ovatum ( Evergreen huckleberry ), V. myrtillus (bilberry), V. vitis-idaea (lingonberry) - Plants with roots.
06.02.20.0021.15 – Blueberries - Vaccinium angustifolium, V. corymbosum, V. myrtilloides (blueberry) - Plants with roots.
06.02.20.0021.16 – Vaccinium spp. not specified elsewhere - Plants with roots.
06.02.20.0021.17 – Gaylussacia spp. (huckleberry)  - Plants with roots.

B) Chapter 08 was published to modify the import conditions for the following HS codes originating from the states of Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Texas destined to all provinces except New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.

08.10.40.4016 - Bilberries (fresh). (Vaccinium myrtillus).
08.10.40.4017 - Blueberries (fresh). (Vaccinium angustifolium, V. corymbosum, V. myrtilloides).
08.10.40.4019 - Huckleberries (fresh). (Gaylussacia spp.).
08.10.40.4020 - Lingonberries (fresh). (Vaccinium vitis-idaea).
08.10.40.4021 - Other fruits of the genus Vaccinium not specified elsewhere (fresh).

C) Chapter 23 was published to add a registration type and modify the import conditions for the following HS codes with end use “Other end uses” originating from the United States.

23.09.10.1565.01 - Avian (bird) ingredients other than egg products. 
23.09.10.1565.02 - Bovine (cattle) ingredients excluding products containing solely dairy products. 
23.09.10.1565.03 - Caprine (goat) ingredients. 
23.09.10.1565.04 - Equine (horse) ingredients. 
23.09.10.1565.05 - Ovine (sheep) ingredients. 
23.09.10.1565.06 - Porcine (swine) ingredients.
