CFIA-AIRS Updates April 23rd 2020

A) Chapter 04 was published to change the release recommendation from “Approved” to “Refer CFIA - NISC” for the following HS codes with the end uses “Animal Feed”, “Human consumption”, “Further Processing”, “Other end uses”, “Samples for testing” “Scientific use (research)” and “Show or Exhibition” originating from the United States.
 
04.08.11.0273.01 - 100% dried egg yolk. 
04.08.11.0273.02 - Dried egg yolk mix containing at least 50% egg yolk and including salt and/or sugar. 
04.08.11.0274 - Egg yolk from avian species other than chickens (Gallus domesticus) and turkeys. 
04.08.19.0276.01 - Liquid egg yolk. 
04.08.19.0276.02 - Frozen egg yolk. 
04.08.91.0277.01 - 100% dried whole eggs. 
04.08.91.0277.02 - Dried whole egg mix containing at least 50% egg yolk and salt and/or sugar.
04.08.91.0278.01 - Dried whole eggs. 
04.08.91.0278.02 - Dried whole egg mix. 
04.08.91.0278.03 - Dried eggs. 
04.08.99.0282.01 - Liquid or frozen eggs.
 
This created a requirement version change for the following HS codes.
 
04.08.19.0275.01 - Pasteurized liquid egg yolk or egg yolk mix containing only salt and/or sugar. 
04.08.19.0275.02 - Pasteurized frozen egg yolk or frozen egg yolk mix containing only salt and/or sugar. 
04.08.19.0276.01 - Liquid egg yolk. 
04.08.19.0276.02 - Frozen egg yolk.
04.08.99.0279.01 - 100% liquid whole eggs. 
04.08.99.0279.02 - Liquid egg mix containing at least 50% egg yolk and salt and/or sugar.
04.08.99.0279.03 - 100% frozen whole eggs.
04.08.99.0281.01 - Liquid or frozen eggs. 
04.08.99.0281.02 - Cooked eggs. 
04.08.99.0282.02 - Cooked eggs.
 
B) Chapter 23 was publish to:
 
i) add a registration type to the following HS codes with the end uses “Animal Feed” and “Other end uses” originating from the United States.
 
23.09.90.0284.01 - Denatured (containing a denaturant), dried. 
23.09.90.0284.02 - Denatured (containing a denaturant), liquid or frozen. 
23.09.90.0284.03 - Non-denatured, dried.
23.09.90.0284.04 - Non-denatured, liquid or frozen.
23.09.90.0284.05 - Eggs without shells dehydrated. 
23.09.90.0284.06 - Dried egg albumen. 
23.09.90.0284.07 - Shell egg processing by-product. 
 
ii) change the release recommendation from “Approved” to “Refer CFIA - NISC” for the following HS code with the end use “Other end uses” originating from the United States.
 
23.09.90.0284.08 - Dairy and egg by-products, mixed, dehydrated.
 
This created a requirement version change for the same HS code originating from all countries.
 
C) Chapter 35 was published to:
 
i) change the release recommendation from “Approved” to “Refer CFIA - NISC” for the following HS code with the end uses “Animal Feed”, “Other end uses”, “Samples for testing”, “Scientific use (research) and “Show or Exhibition” originating from the United States.
 
35.02.11.0288 - Egg albumin, dried, containing less than 50% egg albumin.
 
ii) modify the import conditions for the following HS codes with the end use “Further Processing” originating from the United States.
 
35.02.11.0286.02 - Containing 100% egg albumin - unpasteurized. 
35.02.11.0287.02 - Containing at least 50% and less than 100% egg albumin - unpasteurized. 
35.02.19.0289.03 - Frozen egg albumin - unpasteurized. 
35.02.19.0290.02 - Liquid egg albumin - unpasteurized.
