CFIA-AIRS Updates December 10th 2021

Chapter 01 was published to:

i) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA - veterinary inspection” to “Refuse Entry” for the following HS code with the end uses “For breeding purposes, not for direct retail sale”, “In special "training status"”, “Resale/Adoption”, “Scientific use (Research)” and “Show or exhibition” and with the miscellaneous code “permanent stay in Canada” originating from Serbia. 

01.06.19.2083.02 - Commercial dogs - less than eight months of age

This created a requirement version change for the same HS code originating from all countries except the United States. 

ii) modify the import conditions for the following HS codes with the end uses “Breeding”, “Canadian animals returning to Canada”, “Commercial”, “Display in a zoo”, “Feeding for slaughter”, “Immediate slaughter”, “In transit through Canada”, “Other end uses”, “Racing”, “Scientific use (Research)”, “Show or exhibition”, “Temporary stay in Canada” and “Travellers & Personal use and not for resale or distribution” originating from Belgium.

01.06.39.2098 - Pigeons and doves over 3 days old
01.06.39.2099 - Pigeons and doves less than 3 days old

This created a requirement version change for the same HS codes originating from Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, France, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Portugal, Saint-Pierre and Miquelon and Switzerland.
