CFIA-AIRS Updates February 7th 2023

Chapter 07 was published to:

i) remove the miscellaneous codes “Without soil / container weighing more than 50 kg “, “Without soil / container weighing less than 50 kg”, “With soil / container weighing more than 50 kg” and “With soil / container weighing less than 50 kg” from the following HS codes.

07.03.10.3001.01 – Onions, green (fresh or chilled)
07.03.10.3001.10 – Onions – green (fresh or chilled) – Organic

ii) add the miscellaneous codes “Without soil, related matter or growing media” and “With soil or related matter (including growing media not approved under the CGMP)” to the following HS codes.

07.03.10.3001.01 – Onions, green (fresh or chilled)
07.03.10.3001.10 – Onions – green (fresh or chilled) – Organic

iii) change the release recommendation from “Approved” to “Refer to CFIA-NISC” and modify the registration type list for the following HS codes with the end uses “Human Consumption” and “Further Processing” and the miscellaneous code “With soil or related matter (including growing media not approved under the CGMP)” originating from the states of Texas and Vermont.

07.03.10.3001.10 – Onions – green (fresh or chilled) – Organic

iv) modify the import conditions and registration type list for the following HS codes with the end uses “Human Consumption” and “Further Processing” and the miscellaneous code “With soil or related matter (including growing media not approved under the CGMP)” originating from the United States.

07.03.10.3001.01 – Onions, green (fresh or chilled)
07.03.10.3001.10 – Onions – green (fresh or chilled) – Organic

v) modify the import conditions and registration type list for the following HS codes with the end uses “Human Consumption” and “Further Processing” and the miscellaneous code “Without soil, related matter or growing media”.
