CFIA-AIRS Updates January 27th, 2021

A) Chapter 14 was published to remove the end use “Livestock feed” from the following HS codes.

14.04.90.4086.01 - Processed bee pollen. 
14.04.90.4086.02 - Unprocessed bee pollen.

B) Chapter 21 was published to:

i) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA - NISC” to “Refuse entry” with the end use “Human consumption” for the following HS code originating from all countries except Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay.

21.06.90.7253.05 - Milk product and by-product.

iii) modify the import conditions for the following HS code with the end use “Human Consumption” originating from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay.

iv) modify the import conditions for the following HS code with the end use “Livestock feed” originating from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay.

21.06.90.7253.12 - Liquid dairy recycled food products, mixed.

v) remove the end use “Livestock feed” from the following HS code.

21.06.90.1501.02 - Propolis

This created a requirement version change to the same HS code with the end use “Industrial use (i.e. is not commercial use)

vi) remove the end use “Livestock feed” from the following HS code.

21.06.90.7253.05 - Milk product and by-product.

This created a requirement version change for the following HS codes.

21.06.90.7253.06 - Ice cream manufacturing by-product. 
21.06.90.7253.07 - Cattle cheese rind. 
21.06.90.7253.08 - Cattle cheese trimming dehydrated. 
21.06.90.7253.09 - Cattle milk protein dehydrated. 
21.06.90.7253.10 - Dairy food product dehydrated. 
21.06.90.7253.11 - Cheese product dehydrated.
