CFIA-AIRS Updates July 21st, 2021

Chapter 08 was published to:

i) change the release recommendation from “Refuse entry” to “Refer to CFIA-NISC” for the following HS codes with the end uses “Human consumption”, “Further processing”, “Other end uses”, “Repacking” originating from Chile destined to British Columbia.

08.09.10.4020.02 - Apricots (fresh). (Prunus armeniaca) - Organic. Prunus armeniaca
08.09.10.4021.02 - Aprium (hybrid of Prunus spp.) - Organic. 
08.09.30.4005.02 - Peach (fresh). (Prunus persica) - Organic. Prunus persica
08.09.30.4006.02 - Nectarine (fresh). (Prunus persica) - Organic. 
08.09.30.4007.02 - Peacotum (hybrid of Prunus spp.) - Organic. 
08.09.40.4007.02 - Plums (fresh). (Prunus domestica, P. insititia, P. salicina and their hybrids) - Organic. Prunus domestica, P. insititia, P. salicina
08.09.40.4008.02 - Sloes (fresh). (Prunus spinosa) - Organic. (Prunus spinosa)
08.09.40.4009.02 - Pluot (hybrid of Prunus spp.) - Organic. 
08.09.40.4010.02 - Plumcot (hybrid of Prunus spp.) - Organic.

ii) modify the import conditions for the following HS codes with the end uses “Human consumption”, “Further processing”, “Other end uses”, “Repacking”, “Samples for testing” and “Travellers & Personal use and not for resale or distribution” originating from Chile destined to British Columbia.
