CFIA-AIRS Updates July 30th 2020

A) Chapter 01 was published to:

i) modify the import conditions for the following HS codes with the end uses “Breeding”, “Feeding for slaughter”, “Other end uses”, “Racing” and “Temporary stay in Canada”.

01.06.39.2098 - Pigeons and doves over 3 days old. 
01.06.39.2099 - Pigeons and doves less than 3 days old.

ii) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA - veterinary inspection” to “Refuse entry” for the following HS code originating from Ukraine.

01.06.19.2083.02 - Commercial dogs - less than eight months of age.

This created a requirement version change for the following HS codes with the end use “Scientific use (Research)”

01.06.19.2071.01 - Wolves. 
01.06.19.2071.02 - Maned wolves. 
01.06.19.2071.03 - Cape hunting dogs. 
01.06.19.2071.04 - Bush dogs. 
01.06.19.2071.06 - Golden Jackals. 
01.06.19.2071.07 - Black-backed jackals. 
01.06.19.2071.08 - Side-striped jackals. 
01.06.19.2071.17 - Aardwolves. 
01.06.19.2071.18 - Coyotes. 
01.06.19.2071.21 - Spotted hyaenas. 
01.06.19.2071.22 - Striped hyaenas. 
01.06.19.2071.23 - Brown hyaenas. 
01.06.19.2083.01 - Commercial dogs - eight months of age or older.
