CFIA-AIRS Updates March 16th 2020

A) Chapter 04 was published to:
 
i) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA-NISC” to “Approved” for the following HS codes originating from the States of Arkansas, California, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington and Wisconsin.
 
04.07.29 - Other fresh eggs: Other.
04.08.11.0274 - Egg yolk from avian species other than chickens (Gallus domesticus) and turkeys.
04.08.19.0276 - Egg yolk from avian species other than chickens (Gallus domesticus) and turkeys.
04.08.91.0277 - Egg products from chickens (Gallus domesticus) and/or turkeys.
04.08.91.0278 - Containing 100% egg products from avian species other than chickens (Gallus domesticus) and turkeys.
04.08.99.0282 - Containing 100% unpasteurized eggs from avian species other than chickens (Gallus domesticus) and/or turkeys.
 
ii) remove a registration type and modify the import conditions for the following HS codes originating from the United States. NO VERSION CHANGE.
 
04.07.21 - Other fresh eggs: Of fowls of the species Gallus domesticus.
04.07.29 - Other fresh eggs: Other.
04.08.11 - Egg yolks: Dried    
04.08.19.0275 - Egg yolk from chicken (Gallus domesticus) and/or turkey  
04.08.19.0276 - Egg yolk from avian species other than chickens (Gallus domesticus) and turkeys
04.08.91.0277 - Egg products from chickens (Gallus domesticus) and/or turkeys    
04.08.91.0278 - Containing 100% egg products from avian species other than chickens (Gallus domesticus) and turkeys
04.08.99.0280 - Unpasteurized egg products from  chickens (Gallus domesticus) and/or turkeys
04.08.99.0282.01 - Liquid or frozen eggs      

B) Chapter 08 was published to change the release recommendation from “Approved” to “Refuse Entry” for the following HS codes with the end uses “Human consumption”, “Samples for testing” and “Other end uses” originating from Guatemala.

08.10.20.4013.01 - Raspberries (fresh).(Rubus sp. other than R. caesius, R. fructicosus, R. × loganobaccus, R. ursinus × R. idaeus).
08.10.20.4013.02 - Raspberries (fresh) - Organic - (Rubus sp. other than R. caesius, R. fructicosus, R. × loganobaccus, R. ursinus × R. idaeus).

This created a requirement version change for the following HS codes.

08.10.20.4024 - European dewberries (Fresh) - (Rubus caesius) - Organic. Rubus caesius
08.10.20.4025 - European blackberries (Fresh) - (Rubus fructicosus) - Organic. Rubus fructicosus
08.10.20.4030.01 - Blackberries - cultivated (fresh) - (Rubus sp. Other than R. caesius, R. fructicosus, R. × loganobaccus, R. ursinus × R. idaeus) - Organic. (Rubus sp.)
 
C) Chapter 23 was published to:
 
i) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA-NISC” to “Approved” for the following HS code with the end use “Other end uses” originating from the State of California.
 
23.09.90.0284.08  Dairy and egg by-products, mixed, dehydrated
 
ii) remove a registration type and modify the import conditions for the following HS code originating from the United States. NO VERSION CHANGE.
 
23.09.90.0284 - Preparations containing egg products.
