CFIA-AIRS Updates May 13th, 2021

A) Chapter 01 was published to:

i) change the release recommendation from “Refuse Entry” to “Refer to CFIA - veterinary inspection” for the following HS code with the end uses “For Breeding Purposes and not for Retail Sale” originating from Ukraine.

01.06.19.2083.02 - Commercial dogs - less than eight months of age.  

ii) modify the import conditions for the following HS code with the end uses “For Breeding Purposes and not for Retail Sale” originating from all origins.

01.06.19.2083.02 - Commercial dogs - less than eight months of age.  

iii) modify the import conditions for the following HS code with the end uses “Show or exhibition” and the miscellaneous code “Permanent Stay in Canada” originating from all origins.

01.06.19.2083.02 - Commercial dogs - less than eight months of age.  

iv) add the end use “Resale/Adoption” to the following HS code originating from all origins.

01.06.19.2083.02 - Commercial dogs - less than eight months of age.  

v) remove the end use “Performance” and “Resale” from the following HS code originating from all origins.

B) Chapter 18 was published to add the end use “Other end uses” to the following HS codes. 

18.06.20.7100 - Sweet chocolate, in bulk form, greater than 2 kg     
18.06.20.7101 - Milk chocolate, in bulk form, greater than 2 kg         
18.06.20.7107 - Chocolate spread, in bulk form, greater than 2 kg     
18.06.20.7123 - Compound chocolate, in bulk form, greater than 2 kg
18.06.31.7100 - Sweet chocolate, filled
18.06.31.7101 -  Milk chocolate, filled 
18.06.31.7102 -  Bittersweet, semi sweet or dark chocolate, filled
18.06.31.7104 - Compound chocolate, filled

18.06.32.7100 - Sweet chocolate, not filled

C) AIRS was published to add the following Registration type with the format Confirmation (C) and the Licence Permit Certificate or Other (LPCO) “Materialized”.
