CFIA APOLOGIZE FOR THE DELAY IN SENDING THIS MESSAGE AS THEY WERE EXPERIENCING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES

A)  Chapter 06 was published to:

i) remove the miscellaneous codes “February 1st. to October 31” and “November 1st to January 31” for the following HS codes with the end use “Other end uses” originating from the continental United States.

06.04.20.0041  Wreath < 1.5cm (0.6 in) branch diameter (not manufactured)  - fresh. 
06.04.20.0045.30  Foliage, branches - fresh - Balsam fir and other Abies spp.. 
06.04.20.0143.01  Balsam fir and other Abies spp. - Christmas trees. 
06.04.20.0144.01  Balsam fir and other Abies spp. -  fresh wreath > 1.5cm (0.6in) branch diameter. 
06.04.90.0046.30  Balsam fir (Abies spp.) - Dried foliage, branches and wreaths < 1.5 cm in diameter. 
06.04.90.0047.30  Balsam fir (Abies spp.) - Dried foliage, branches and wreaths > 1.5 cm in diameter. 

ii) remove the miscellaneous codes “with bark” for the following HS code with the end use “Other end uses” originating from the continental United States destined to British Columbia.

06.04.90.0046.30  Balsam fir (Abies spp.) - Dried foliage, branches and wreaths < 1.5 cm in diameter. 

iii) change the release recommendation from “Refuse entry” to “Approved” for the following HS code with the end use “Other end uses” originating from the states of California, Connecticut, Idaho, Massachusetts, Maine, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia destined to British Columbia.

06.04.90.0046.30  Balsam fir (Abies spp.) - Dried foliage, branches and wreaths < 1.5 cm in diameter. 

iv) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA-NISC” to “Approved” for the following HS code originating from the states of California and Oregon destined to all provinces except British Columbia.

06.04.90.0046.30  Balsam fir (Abies spp.) - Dried foliage, branches and wreaths < 1.5 cm in diameter. 

v) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA-NISC” to “Refuse entry” for the following HS codes with the end use “Other end uses” originating from all origins except the continental United States.

06.04.20.0047.01  Foliage, branches - fresh - dyed, bleached or otherwise prepared - Balsam fir and other Abies spp.. 
06.04.20.0047.02  Foliage, branches - fresh - dyed, bleached or otherwise prepared - Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga spp.).

B) Chapter 11 was published to add the following OGD extension.

11.08.19.7122 - Pea starch - obtained mechanically from dehulled dried milled field pea seeds (Pisum sativum). Pisum sativum.

This created a requirement version change for the following HS codes with the end use “Livestock feed”.

11.02.20 - Maize (corn) flour. 
11.02.90.7178 - Rye flour. 
11.03.13.7300 - Maize grits. 
11.03.19.7102 - Groats and meal: Of oat. 
11.03.19.7105 - Rice groats, polished, broken. 
11.04.19.7100 - Rolled or flaked grains: Of corn. 
11.04.19.7101 - Maize grain kibbled. 
11.04.30.7400 - Wheat germ ground. 
11.04.30.7500 - Maize germ meal, dry milled, mechanical extracted. 
11.08.11 - Starches: Wheat.

11.08.13.7100 - Unmodified potato starch.
