CFIA Cancels Licence of Pro-Fresh / Pro-Frais 2006

The following is excerpted from the 17 July 2013 news release by CFIA.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has cancelled the produce licence of Pro-Fresh / Pro-Frais2006 (#7245), effective July 16, 2013. Pro-Fresh 2006 is a fresh produce dealer located in Terrebonne, QC.

The CFIA has confirmed that Pro-Fresh 2006 illegally imported produce without a valid licence. As a result, the Agency has cancelled the company's licence.

The company's licence was suspended on May 23, 2013 as a result of non-compliance with the Licensing and Arbitration Regulations. Pro-Fresh 2006 consistently failed to settle outstanding debts and conducted business in a manner inconsistent with fair and orderly business practices…
