CFIA Compliance Promotion Message

June 2, 2022

This week the CFIA has commenced a compliance promotion activity with all business who hold a Safe Food for Canadians (SFC) licence to import cheese. The compliance promotion activity is designed to provide targeted information to cheese importers on the hazards related to cheese, and considerations to help address these risks.

All businesses who have identified cheese on their SFC licence to import will be receiving this message regardless of inspection/compliance history.
