CFIA Consultation on the Food Program Framework

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) would like your feedback on its “Food Program Framework”.  This document describes how the Agency establishes its requirements to regulate all food commodities under a single program within the new federal legislation.  The Framework is intended to provide stakeholders, ranging from industry and associations, to consumers and international regulatory bodies, as well as CFIA personnel, with a clear and transparent outline of the various activities related to food in a single resource.

The closing date to submit comments on the Framework is October 31st.  In this regard, the CFIA will hold two webinar sessions (one English and one French) on Monday, October 6, 2014.
